Deacon Elections

Deacons are elected on the third Sunday in August at the morning services. You must be a member of the church to vote. Two or three weeks before a list of men age 25 and up that are eligible to serve as deacon is distributed. The deacons that will rotate off are not eligible to serve. They must take a year off before they can serve again. Church members are asked to prayerfully consider those they will nominate. After the election the current deacons gather and count the votes. The nine men receiving the most votes are asked to serve a three year term.
